Black and Yellow Garden Spider

Back of Spider
Spider's Belly

This huge spider is attached to the front of our Florida home.  Initially, we thought it was a banana spider, but upon closer investigation, it is a St. Andrew's Cross spider, commonly called a Black and Yellow Garden Spider.  The photos you see are of David with his camera, the belly of he spider and the backside.  Imagine this:  Marty gently pulls back spider web with one hand and holds her camera within inches of the spider's back to take a photo of the spider's back.  Cool shadow, David!
